UHSFAA ANNOUNCES SUSTAINABLE GRAD NIGHT FUND

Click here to donate and receive up to $3000 in matching funds from UHSFAA to support YOUR seniors safe Grad Night.
The UHS Foundation and Alumni Association Board (comprised of UHS alumni) has become aware of a need that comes up every year for UHS seniors and their families: the need for funding of the annual Senior Grad Night Party. Over the years, the event has been planned, and money has been raised, by members of the UHSPA and/or senior parents. This process frequently starts from scratch each year with a new group of parent volunteers.
To support this important event which keeps our seniors safe, and to ease the fundraising challenge on the UHSPA and senior families every year UHSFAA is starting a UHS Grad Night Sustained Fund.
This fund will provide a match of up to $3000 annually to specifically support expenses related to the Grad Night event, providing the purpose of the event continues to be to keep seniors off the street, celebrating in the safety of a contained UHS campus venue.
UHSFAA encourages current senior parents who have the means to support this event!

UHSFAA will NOT be responsible in any way for the planning of the event and will not be held liable for any activities related to the event. Funds will be made available each year to the UHS Principal who will identify the event planner (likely a committee of senior parents) and will direct funds accordingly.
In order for this fund to grow into a sustained resource, donations will be stewarded as follows:
- Donations will be matched up to $3000 by UHSFAA. (In other words, if parents collectively give $3000, there will be a match of another $3000 from UHSFAA).
- 80% of all donations made to the fund during a school year will go toward that year’s Grad Night event, the remaining 20% will be held in an interest-bearing fund by UHSFAA for future use. (For the accountants: If parents collectively give a total of $3000, $600 will be held but a matching $3000 will still be provided for a total event budget of $5400. We hope parents will give more to make this fund grow faster for future seniors).
